This necklace was fun. It uses more beads I bought in Eureka Springs as well as some I found elsewhere. (With the way my bead stash is, sometimes I forget exactly where I found something.)
This necklace uses
- Size 8 clear gold-lined triangle seed beads
- 2mm red glass rounds
- Red/gold glass ovals
- Sterling silver clasp
Price: $25
First of all, I apologize for taking an extra week than what I said I was going to. Or is it two weeks now? No matter. When I was in Eureka Springs, I bought a very long strand of peacock potato-shaped pearls. Some were top drilled, some were side-drilled. It made for a very nice stagger-effect. They were continuous and I debated on if I was going to break them up or not.
When I got this mother-of-pearl flower pendant, I decided they had to be broken up because they would look fabulous with this pendant.
This necklace uses:
- 2mm x 4mm peacock potato-shaped pearls
- 4mm clear Swarovski crystals
- Sterling silver clasp
- Large mother-of-pearl flower pendant
Length: 24-26 inches
Price: $45
So this is the necklace that was causing the problems with the scanner. I wanted to have it laid out length-wise, but the scanner bed is too short for that. Be that as it may, here it is now.
Yes, I've called this necklace "Chocolate Icing." That's what the pearls remind me of. (And it's the only way I can have chocolate icing without making my blood sugar sky-rocket.)
This necklace uses:
- 6mm glass pearls, chocolate-colored
- Silver-plated toggle clasp
- Silver-plated chain
- Sterling silver beads (2)
The chain part is 44"-45" long. It falls to about mid-stomach on me. The pearls alone are 22"-23".
To my surprise, this has already received rave reviews from people who have seen it in person and from people in a beadwork/jewelry-making community.
Price: $45
I was looking for my 4mm burgundy crystal bicones but I couldn't find them. I did find some freshwater coin pearls, though. I like how it turned out, probably better than if I had found the bicones.
This necklace uses:
- 8mm flat round pearls
- 6mm Swarovski faceted rounds
- Silver-plated chain
- Silver-plated clasp
Price: $20
At one point, I got some yellow mother-of-pearl coins. I loved them. I made a bracelet and two pair of earrings and had some left over for a necklace. The necklace sold so you won't be seeing it here. I don't think I even have a picture of it anymore.
These earrings use yellow mother-of-pearl coins and silver-plated earring findings.
Price: $12
There are times when I buy something thinking it would look nice in a necklace. Then when I get home, I don't know what to do with it, so I hold on to it for a while.
Earlier this week, I finally stumbled across the right combination of beads that look good with it.
The necklace uses:
- Dichroic glass pendant -- green (shown) or purple
- 4mm Czech glass emerald (shown) or amethyst beads
- Hemalyke round spaces (shown) or 6mm black cubes
- Silver-plated chain and toggle clasp
Price: $15
SOLD!!
I originally wanted to use the brown rectangles all the way up and down the sides on this. But I didn't have enough to do it that way unless I wanted a very short necklace. Instead, I played around with different combinations and settled on this one.
This necklace uses:
- Tessanite rectangles (a relative of the emerald)
- 4mm khaki-colored Swarovski bicones
- Art glass flower pendant
- Sterling silver daisy toggle clasp
Price: $30
